Kiambu Dental Clinic Fit-Out

The brief

The Kiambu clinic needed a full clinical fit-out — dental chair, sterilisation, imaging, and air supply — to satisfy KMPDC facility registration requirements and open without delay. Located within Kiambu's growing residential corridor, the practice serves a patient base that previously had to travel to Nairobi for specialist dental care.

The client specified CE-certified equipment throughout, on-site commissioning, and a local service contact for ongoing support. Jodroc was appointed as sole supplier and installation contractor.

Installation & commissioning

Jodroc's service team delivered and assembled all equipment on-site, handled plumbing connections for the dental unit and suction system, completed electrical connections for the autoclave and X-ray unit, and ran full commissioning checks before handover. Chair, light, and cuspidor alignment was set to the dentist's working position during commissioning.

All equipment was tested under clinical load and signed off to manufacturers' specifications. Staff training on autoclave cycle documentation — required for KMPDC records — was completed the same day. A 12-month service contract covers routine preventive maintenance and any warranty issues during the first year of operation.

Outcome

The clinic opened on schedule with a complete operatory. CE-certified equipment meets Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) facility registration requirements, and the autoclave cycle log documentation satisfies infection-control audit requirements. Patients in Kiambu now have access to European-standard dental care without travelling to Nairobi.
