Privacy notice

What we do with what you send us.

We ask for very little, we use it to answer your enquiry, and we delete it when the enquiry is closed. This notice sets that out in full, as the Data Protection Act, 2019 requires.

01

Who we are

Jodroc Limited supplies and services medical and dental equipment from Luthuli Avenue, Nairobi Central, P.O. 00200 City Square, Nairobi, Kenya. We are the data controller for the information described here.

For anything in this notice, write to jodroc0@gmail.com or message 0705 213 438.

02

What we collect

Only what you type into a quote request or enquiry:

Your nameTo address a reply to a person
Practice or organisationTo quote at the right terms
Phone number and emailTo send the quote and arrange a survey
What you are asking aboutTo price it and check it fits the room

We do not ask for patient information, and you should not send it. If you do, we will delete it.

03

How it reaches us

This website stores nothing on our servers. When you send a quote request, the details are assembled in your own browser and handed to WhatsApp or to your email programme, and you press send. Your message travels through whichever of those you chose, under their terms, not ours.

The items you add to a quote are kept in your browser's local storage so the list survives a page reload. That stays on your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data removes it.

04

Why we may hold it

Under section 30 of the Act, we rely on two grounds. Where you have asked us to quote, supply or service equipment, processing is necessary to perform that contract or to take steps towards it. Where you have simply asked a question, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering you.

We do not send marketing unless you ask for it, and we never sell or rent your details.

05

How long we keep it

Until your enquiry is closed, then we delete it. An enquiry is closed when you have your quote and have told us you are not proceeding, or when a reasonable period has passed with no reply.

Where an order goes ahead, the invoice and service records that follow are kept for as long as tax and warranty law requires, separately from the enquiry itself.

06

Who else sees it

Our own staff, so far as they need it to answer you. Beyond that, only where a supply requires it: a manufacturer confirming a specification, or a logistics provider who needs a delivery address.

Some of those parties are outside Kenya, so your details may be transferred abroad. We share the minimum necessary and require it to be handled with equivalent protection, as section 48 of the Act requires.

07

Your rights

Under Part V of the Act you may ask us to:

Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete Delete it, where we no longer need it Stop or restrict how we use it Object to processing based on our legitimate interest

Write to jodroc0@gmail.com and we will respond within the statutory period. If you are unsatisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

08

Cookies and the map

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing this site stores is the quote list described above, and it stays on your device.

The map on our contact page loads tiles from OpenStreetMap, which will see your IP address in order to send them. Nothing else on the site loads third-party content.

This notice is written in plain language and reflects how the site works today. It should be reviewed by your own legal adviser before launch, and updated if the quote form ever begins submitting to a server. Company registration number to confirm.
